- Budget consultancy and planning
- Development of FF&E master list
- Inventory review and transitional planning
- Design review and facility planning
- Equipment consultancy and planning
- Procurement planning and management
- Sterilisation service department’s workflow reviews, design and planning consultancy.
Equipment Planning Consultancy Scope of Service
The Furniture Fitting & Equipment (FF&E) consultancy services are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Attend briefings with stakeholders as required
- Review and analyse the project’s design and workflows
- Provision of preliminary FF&E and related budget data
- Development of FF&E schedule of accommodation
- Develop equipment reports, which are to contain the following:
- Equipment schedule
- Equipment programme development
- Equipment costs.
The Equipment schedule will include:
- The development of an FF&E database, based on requirements from project briefs
- Confirmation of the equipment classification, grouping codes and populate equipment database with approved codes
- Details of types of equipment, including generic specifications
- Description of proposed methodology for the management of equipment selection and procurement
- Development of a specific equipment list for items of significance (those included architectural, structural, building services, long-lead items, etc.).
The Equipment programme development will include:
- Procurement selection (generic)
- Lead and installation time
- Commissioning and training requirements.
The Equipment costs will include:
- Development of equipment budget
- Summary of costs allowed for Group 2 and Group 3 equipment, (Group 1 major equipment if in scope) including capital cost and other related costing assumptions, such as cost of delivery, installation and commissioning, warranty, etc.
Procurement planning and management will include:
- Product selection and development of specification to tender level
- Procurement cost planning advice
- Supplier management
- Tendering and tender reviews
- Delivery installation planning and management
- Provide and maintain an FF&E management database e.g. (Excel and dRofus formats)
- Participate and contribute to the development of architectural drawings, including furniture and equipment layouts, services and structural design
- Ongoing review of furniture and equipment layouts to confirm accurate classification with reference to FF&E Schedule
- Provide product and standards information on FF&E to ensure the effectiveness and quality of selection
- Participate and contribute to the development and review of room data sheets.
SSD Review and Design Planning Scope of Service
HEPA also offers Sterilisation Services Department (SSD) and Endoscopy Reprocessing compliance reviews, design and equipment planning service for existing and new facilities.
Exclusions
The following is a list of services not included:
- Information Technology (IT) services other than identifying and costing items in the equipment schedule
- Surgical and procedural instrumentation (unless agreed within scope)
- Interior finishes (e.g., Fabric selection and colours for furniture)
- Builder/Contractor managed Group 1 FF&E other than to identify the group unless included in scope
- Financial procurement of any FF&E.
